A quick recap of the safety meeting.
- The SS2 race will start at 8am on Saturday.
- The mixed doubles will be sent off first.
- All other categories will be sent off 15 mins later.
- Check in will open at 6.30.
- The following will be checked:
- PFD that has been tested,
- A leash,
- A cell phone with the SafeTRX app loaded, with a full battery,
- The correct sponsors stickers,
- The correct number sticker,
- Your timing chip (on the outside of your PFD.
If you do not satisfy these requirements, you will be turned away.
- Your ski will be marked once you have passed through. Once you have passed through, you will be at liberty to take your ski to the start position, or to warm up if you wish.
- Twenty minutes before the start, you will be called off the water by the sound of a air horn.
- You will be required to place your ski on the start line and to leave it there for a final count.
- Once this has been accomplished, an orange flag will be raised by the starter, who will be standing on the breakwater.
This will indicate that the race is under starters orders. - The start of the race will be indicated by the sound of the air horn and the dropping of the flag.
- Please do not leave your checking in to the last minute.
- There are a lot of boats that need to be processed.
- We will not hold the start.
- If you are still in the queue for checking in when the start time arrives, you will be left behind.
