Congratulations fine athletes. Yesterday we broke the 500 mark.
As of this Monday we have 503 SS1 entries and 221 SS2 entries. The number of SS2 entries is expected to increase significantly when partnerships are finalised closer to race date.
Tuesday, 7th October, is the final day to submit an entry into the SS1 category.
If you attempt to enter any later, the system will kick you out. Please spread the word.
A further reminder regarding meal tickets for the spit braai at the after party on Sunday. These need to be booked and paid for in advance (see previous post regarding this).
A vegetarian option at the after party has been arranged. When you go into the system to “enter” for the after party you will get an option of “Carnivore” or “Vegetarian”.
You only have today and tomorrow to book. After that you will need to bring a sandwich. A quick note on the after party.
It is ICF protocol that no prizes, other than medals be presented at the medal ceremony. We have some great prizes for all category winners, as well as some healthy cash payments from our recently increased prize money. These will be handed out at separate prize giving during the after party. There will also be a lucky draw for a Fenn ski at the function (you have to be there to win). There will be a live band and a cracker DJ, so don’t plan on missing it.
For those who have only recently joined the WhatsApp group, all previous posts are reflected on the event website. Going forward, this WhatsApp group and the website are your “go to” places for information. The daily schedules, for all sorts of activities, will be posted shortly.
